In Santa Clara County, the struggle to find affordable places to live continues to get worse. During the last cycle of housing planning, our cities were only able to build for 53.5% of the overall need. This left our region short of the homes needed to accommodate the remaining 47.7% of our families, seniors, entry-level and service workers, and college students.

Job opportunities, good schools, plentiful parks, quality transportation systems and affordable homes are all essential ingredients for a healthy community, economy, and environment. At the Housing Action Coalition, we focus on the housing piece of the equation.

The core mission of the Housing Action Coalition is to increase support for vibrant and attractive communities with an emphasis on housing. We welcome your involvement and hope you will join our group of passionate individuals in the effort to create a better community and economy.
